What We Do
HR Strategy for Emerging Companies
If executing your people strategy is the missing piece between where you are and where you need to be, BARING HR will get you there. We partner with you to design and execute flexible people strategies that ignite high performance, improve productivity and increase profitability.
Series A+
FUNDING STAGE
You just closed a significant round of funding or you are operating inside a private equity-backed portfolio
30-150
EMPLOYEES
You have capital to deploy and a board holding you accountable for results
Strategic People Priorities
Hire and Accelerate Performance
Hiring the wrong person at a critical growth stage costs far more than salary in time, culture, and momentum. Done poorly, onboarding becomes a costly revolving door.
Don't just fill roles, build a team designed to scale. Prepare new hires - the first 90 days done right turn new hires into high-performing contributors.
Reward Employees
Compensation done wrong is one of the silent and most expensive killers of growth, and drive away top performers
Design an effective rewards strategy to attract, retain, and motivate your people.
Develop Your People
The leaders who got you here won't necessarily get you there.
Incorporate leadership competencies and company values that align with your strategic objectives in all people programs. Protect institutional knowledge. Build a leadership pipeline. Retain your best people by investing in their growth.
Make Decisions with Data Analytics
Most growing companies make people decisions based on instinct — not data and flying blind on hiring, promotion, and restructuring is expensive
Leverage the data. Scalable HR systems give you the data to achieve results and lead with confidence.
Cultivate a High Performance Culture
When individual goals aren't connected to strategy, efforts are misdirected and impact performance and profits.
Cascade strategic goals - align individual goals to business priorities. Move from annual reviews to a culture of feedback and coaching.
Companies that build culture retain better, grow faster, and outperform disengaged ones on every metric.

How We Work
We partner with you and your leadership team to move your people strategy forward.
Every engagement begins with a complimentary consultation — to understand where your business is, where you're headed, and your current people strategy.
From there, we develop a proposal that meets your unique needs.
HR Strategic Plan
A 6-week low risk, high impact diagnostic built around your business goals to prepare you for your next stage of growth — not where you are today.
We assess your culture, people processes and systems, and organizational design to identify gaps and quantify what they're costing you. We then build a clear, prioritized HR roadmap connected directly to your business objectives.
Fractional HR Partner
As your embedded HR partner, we are aligned with your business goals and accountable for results. We collaborate with you on a retained basis to drive momentum by improving, scaling or unlocking opportunity.
We function as a member of your leadership team - not an outside consultant - translating people priorities into business outcomes in real time.
Interim HR Executive
In the event of a leadership change or crisis, we partner with you to steady the ship and stabilize operations.
We continue as your embedded fractional HR partner as you grow until you're ready o a full-time HR leader your organization.
Our goal is to keep your momentum going.

Who We Are
Barrie and Ingrid founded BARING HR to give emerging companies access to the kind of strategic HR partnership that transforms employee engagement into productivity, performance, and profit.
Barrie Brian
Co-Founder and Executive HR Partner
Barrie Brian is a people and talent leader with over 30 years of experience helping emerging growth organizations scale with clarity, integrity, and intention. Her work spans technology, biotech, and mission-driven environments, where she has built people functions that align business strategy with culture, leadership, and human experience.
She is a trusted partner to founders and executive teams, known for building meaningful, high-impact relationships and bringing both strategic insight and practical execution to moments of growth, change, and transformation. Barrie’s approach is grounded in the belief that strong organizations are built through thoughtful design, aligned leadership, and a culture that supports both performance and well-being.
As Co-Founder of BARING HR, she brings a unique combination of executive experience and lived perspective, helping organizations build the people, systems, and culture needed to grow — and to make a meaningful impact.

Ingrid Lederman
Co-Founder and Executive HR Partner
Ingrid Lederman is a talent and organizational development leader whose career has been defined by the belief that people are at the center of organizational success and that people strategy is business strategy.
As Head of Human Resources at three organizations, Ingrid built scalable people infrastructures from the ground up, bringing enterprise-level thinking to companies navigating the complex realities of high growth. She translates strategy into action and has a bias for execution. For one company, she identified the three core tenets of organizational growth — institutional knowledge, leadership competencies, and networks — and built the talent programs and infrastructure to develop each one systematically across the organization.
Her work is hands-on and high-impact. Ingrid is known for being a builder and making things happen especially during moments that matter most — when the people strategy has to keep up with the business or risk becoming the thing that slows it down. As Co-Founder of BARING HR, she partners with founders and executive teams to build the foundation that turns ambitious growth goals into sustainable results.
